Janella

Director & Certified Medical Aesthetician

Janella moved from the Philippines to Canada with her family at the age of 21. Before transitioning into the medical aesthetics industry, she worked for 9 years as an administrative assistant in the fertilizer sector.

In her mid-30s, Janella had her first-ever facial due to stress-induced facial muscle pain. At that time, she had no idea that that experience would later change the direction of her life. She developed a genuine passion for skincare and self-care, which inspired her to return to school to learn the science behind healthy skin. She later pursued Medical Aesthetics at the La Vie Academy and trained in Facial Massage at the European Institute of Esthetics, transforming her curiosity into a new professional path.

Janella is a devoted wife, loving mother, and skincare enthusiast who loves art, books, coffee, jazz music, and travelling with her family. She believes in aging gracefully—nurturing both the skin and the soul—and is committed to helping others feel confident and cared for through thoughtful aesthetics.

The most rewarding part of being a massage therapist is seeing everyone that walks into my massage room walk out feeling better than when they walked in. My favorite quote is “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right!”- Henry Ford.

Jade

Registered Massage Therapist

Jade received her 3000 hours to become a Massage Therapist at Makami College in 2022 and continues improving her skills and knowledge as a Massage Therapist.

She enjoys working on trigger point release, as well as focus work where most pain resides which includes neck, arms, and lower back.

Jade joined Makami College to become a Massage Therapist not knowing if she would enjoy the practice, however she soon discovered she has a passion for helping people relieve their soreness/pain they’ve been suffering from or didn’t know they had. What also sparked her passion was being told by her auntie, who was a medicine woman from First Nation background, that she had healing hands and choose a good career path for helping people deal with their pain.

Kazie

Student Esthetician

Hey, I’m Kazie Mirabelle – a bubbly gal with love for slow mornings with my coffee, cooking, and finding beauty in small details.

Currently studying Advanced Aesthetics, where I really enjoy learning about skin care and waxing. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen or somewhere outdoorsy.

I love learning, exploring, and collecting small moments along the way of my work. I am also a big believer of “Good skin is always in style”.
